About Us
Get to know us
For over 40 years Tom Davin and Mary Kesler have been designing, making, and selling their work.
Our specialty is small, precisely designed and exquisitely made pieces.
We pride ourselves on offering handmade, one of a kind gifts. From womens and mens beaded bracelets, chopsticks to earrings, handmade wooden letter opener knives to magnifying glasses our line has many options for the thoughtful gift-giver.
We have built our business on the core value that the things you use everyday should work well and give you joy. We strive for perfection in all of our products. Our work is guided by constant reflection on how each piece can be made to work, feel, and look better.
After more than forty years of working together we realize that our work is more than just pieces we have crafted; it is a lifestyle that continually challenges, pushes, and rewards.
A solid partnership
Tom has the design and woodworking skills, while Mary concentrates on display, marketing and keeping us organized. In addition to starting this business, we have raised three fantastic children who occasionally help us at shows.
In 1986 we moved from California to Rhode Island and opened shop in the beautiful Dorset Mill.
We are truly fortunate to have our studio in a beautiful 18th century textile mill with creaky hardwood floors and large windows that overlook the mill pond. Herons, otters, bass, and waterfowl distract and inspire us. On hot summer days the pond offers delightful relief.
When we are not at work we like swimming, sailing, and being outdoors. We are both endlessly curious and are guided by gratitude for all that we have.
