We have been making letter openers, long before email was around. The first show we sold them at was on Maiden Lane in San Francisco, CA. They were an immediate hit. We have been making them ever since. There are 2 styles. The single wood is a graceful shape using one piece of wood. The ebony blade has an ebony blade with contrasting handles. Both styles work equally well. To keep the blade sharp we only us very dense hardwoods woods such as cocobolo or ebony.
There is something beautiful about a letter opener. Perhaps its simplicity reminds us of a slower time. Still one of our best selling items people love having them sit on their desk ready to open that special piece of mail.
